Our Mission
Being Human USA is dedicated to providing food and other basic necessities to members of the community who find themselves in a time of need. We accomplish this by collecting food donations, assembling boxes for distribution, and gathering and distributing personal hygiene items and other essentials. Through this work, we hope to improve the lives of those we serve and create a lasting, positive impact on our community.
Our Vision
A community where no one goes without food, hygiene, or the basic resources needed to live with dignity. A place where neighbors look out for one another, and where the most vulnerable members of our community are never invisible.
What Drives Us
Being Human USA was founded by people who looked at their community and saw a gap no one else was filling. They saw neighbors who were hungry. They saw families running out of the basics. They saw people who needed help but had nowhere to turn that felt close and real. And instead of waiting for someone else to step in, they did something about it.
That is still who we are. A community organization, rooted in Staten Island, accountable to our neighbors, and committed to showing up every week for the people who need us most.
