Donate Food and Supplies
Money helps, but so does a case of canned goods, a pack of soap, or a bag of rice. If you have items to give, we will make sure they reach the families who need them most.
What We Accept
Food items: Canned vegetables, fruits, beans, and soups. Rice, pasta, cereal, and oatmeal. Cooking oil, condiments, peanut butter, and shelf-stable milk. Baby food and formula.
Personal hygiene products: Soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, and hand sanitizer.
Household essentials: Paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, cleaning sprays, trash bags, and sponges.
Baby and family supplies: Diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, and children’s vitamins.
How to Donate Items
You can drop off items during our distribution hours at our Staten Island location. For larger donations or to arrange a special pickup, please contact us at info@beinghumanusa.org or call (718) 000-0000.
Organize a Drive
One of the most powerful things you can do is rally your community around a collection drive. Whether it is a church, a school, a workplace, or a neighborhood group, we can help you set it up and make it count.
Here is how it works: you pick a date and a location. We send you a list of most-needed items, collection guidelines, and promotional flyers. You collect. We distribute. It is that simple.
To get started, email us at info@beinghumanusa.org with the subject line “Food Drive” and we will take it from there.
A Note on What We Cannot Accept
For safety reasons, we are unable to accept opened or expired food items, perishable items without prior arrangement, medications, or items that have been recalled. When in doubt, reach out to us first and we will let you know.
